I was fortunate enough to be able to screen this movie. The second I finished watching it I asked for an interview. As lady luck would have it, Andreas and Elisabeth invited me to come chat with them. I was so excited to discuss the movie I could barely contain myself. Andreas was very welcoming with questions about the movie. As a viewing audience, three things that I loved about this film were: #1-The Story! It was done in such a brilliant way that it was both romantic and comedic yet was centered around a social injustice issue of wages. #2- The Cinematography was so streamlined and fluid, the use of color was like a third character in the film. It made it very visually appealing while driving the story. #3- The Cast's performances were very real and sincere. I felt as if they were people in my home town that I talk to everyday. Very well acted. Okay I have to throw # 4 The music! Well placed not only melodically but the lyrics (though in English) moved the story as well.
I have to give Andreas props for his first time out the gate! You would never know this was his first film. I am excited to see what he comes up with next! One other note, the RomCom can be added to the classics like Sleepless in Seattle, the comedy he uses is intelligent and well placed. You can tell it was a favorite right? If you get the chance please check it out!
